Family Engagement

Our Mission:
To empower our families as community leaders who guide our students through their educational journeys.

“When everyone in the classroom, teacher and students, recognizes that they are responsible for creating a learning community together, learning is at its most meaningful and useful.”

― bell hooks, Teaching Critical Thinking: Practical Wisdom

LVLA works in collaboration with you - our families and stakeholders, the parents and community members, to help grow and establish a sense of trusting community with one another. Our mission is to empower our families as community leaders who guide our students through their educational journeys. We aim to achieve this through our TFHE Family Workshop Series and Virtual Cafecitos that serve as a resource where you will find support to motivate your students to achieve their goals and dreams. Along with this, we want to share and amplify your voices, your input matters and we hope to honor you and your passions.

The Family Workshop Services are provided centrally by The Foundation for Hispanic Education. We invite you to join a growing community of Parents who are invested in their childrens’ education and developing a sense of comunidad with vast local resources we work closely with, such as non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and much much more! Within this effort, we ask for your cooperation in establishing a community here at LVLA, this takes the form of reaching out to us and remaining in communication with us and your students.

Bienvenidos a LVLA, Welcome to LVLA milies.
