Welcome to the Luis Valdez Leadership Academy (LVLA) Course Description Catalogue. At LVLA, our mission is to provide a challenging academic program designed to instill a lifelong passion for learning and to equip students with the skills for social and academic success at community colleges and four-year universities. We offer a challenging academic curriculum designed to prepare students for successful admission and transition to University of California (UC), California State University (CSU), and other premier postsecondary institutions.

Our courses span grade-level preparatory subjects, Advanced Placement (AP) pathways, intensive English Language Development, vibrant Visual and Performing Arts, and culturally grounded interdisciplinary studies such as Chicano Theater and Dance. We encourage students and parents to utilize this guide to plan academic tracks, explore rigorous electives, and identify acceleration programs such as Dual Enrollment courses offered.
