LVLA Advisory Program

LVLA Advisory will provide the opportunity and access for every child and his/her/their family to be known well by at least one adult. Advisory will provide students the essential skills and knowledge to develop as healthy and lifelong learners and leaders, graduate from Luis Valdez Leadership Academy and succeed in post-graduate endeavors.

The purpose of Advisory is to create a space where students receive the support they need to be successful in high school and in college. Advisory is a small class of students of the same grade level who will stay together throughout their four years of high school. The Advisor serves as the Academic Advocate, ensuring that students have all the information they need to do well in their classes and to participate in College and Career Readiness workshops. In addition, the Advisory is a space for community building and strengthening school culture.
